Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for a group of 3 to 5 students. No prior experience needed – just the wish to develop an episode together. Within the group we split the tasks as it suits you:
- Topic and research: What do we want to talk about, and who do we ask?
- Conversation and hosting: Preparing questions and leading the conversation
- Recording and editing: recording equipment, audio editing, music and effects
- Publication: on the various podcast channels.
You don’t have to be able to do everything. Many people try a microphone or editing software for the first time. That’s exactly what the sessions in the Skills Lab and the shared work in the studio are for.
Learning objectives
- Prepare a topic for an audio format
- Prepare and conduct an interview
- Work with recording equipment and editing software
- Publish a podcast episode
Editorial team
One to two episodes are produced each semester, depending on the size of the group. As the editorial team you decide together on the topic and content of the episodes.
How an episode comes together
- Getting to know each other: We meet in the studio, listen to past episodes and collect ideas.
- Finding a topic: Together we decide what it’s about and whom we invite.
- Research and preparation: We research topics, plan interviews, clear consent and plan the recording.
- Recording: The Skills Lab offers an introduction to the recording equipment.
- Editing: We listen through the material, cut it and put the episode together.
- Publication: The episode goes online and we share it through the various channels.
Along the way we meet regularly to sort out questions. Interested? Just send us a short email: who you are, what interests you and whether you already have an idea. No formal application needed.
